An operating system's startup list is a good means of infiltration for Trojans. Auto-run programs are displayed in a table, along with their paths, sizes and other details. You can prevent them from starting automatically in the future, by simply un-ticking their corresponding check boxes. Each entry is color-coded, to indicate that it is either an essential item, a new or obsolete one or a Trojan Horse.

Besides deactivating auto-run programs, you can also look them up on Google, with a single click, if you need to make sure that it's a threat or not. Additionally, the software allows you to back up and restore individual items and delete them if they are identified as threats. On the other hand, if a program is safe and it's something you use often, you may create a shortcut for that program on your desktop just as fast.

StartEd provides you with a similar table of contents for services as well. You can find them on a separate tab, where they are color coded the same way. The software allows you to start and stop individual services, look them up and delete them if necessary.
